Every unforgettable day at DCH Summer Camp begins with a Summer Hero.
They are the first to arrive each morning and the last to leave each afternoon. They comfort homesick campers, celebrate accomplishments, encourage new friendships, lead games, teach life lessons, and help every child feel safe, valued, and included.
For more than 100 years, DCH Summer Camp has created lifelong memories for children across our community. Behind every smile, every adventure, and every camper's success is a dedicated team of counselors who choose to spend their summer making a difference in the lives of others.
The Summer Heroes Campaign is our opportunity to thank them.
Your gift helps provide meals, snacks, coffee, gift cards to local businesses, appreciation events, and other thoughtful surprises throughout the summer. These gestures remind our counselors that their dedication, kindness, and hard work do not go unnoticed.
Many of our counselors are future teachers, coaches, nurses, and community leaders. Others grew up at DCH themselves and returned because they wanted to give today's campers the same unforgettable experience they received as children.
When you support the Summer Heroes Campaign, you're celebrating the people who make camp possible.
Every gift, no matter the size, helps us recognize the young leaders who make summer magical for hundreds of children every year.
Join us in celebrating our Summer Heroes. Thank you for your generosity and for investing in the people who inspire, encourage, and care for our campers every single day.
